TANGLES WITH ZENTAGLES

What is Zentangle?
The Zentangle Method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun
way to create beautiful images by drawing structured
patterns. We call these patterns tangles .
Zentangle art is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on
each stroke and not worry about the result. Zentangle
provides artistic satisfaction and an increased sense of
personal well being.
How do I get started with Zentangle?
To make a Zentangle, start by drawing a light square border
around the edges of your paper with a pencil. Next, lightly
sketch a simple string, or a curved line or squiggle, which
will lend structure to your design and elegantly divide the
border into sections.

How big is a Zentangle tile?
The Zentangle 3Z Tile is a 3.5" x 3.5" x 3.5" equilateral
triangle. It's die cut deckle edge and rounded corners
match the look and feel of our other tiles. 3Z tiles fit
together in mosaics by themselves and with 3.5" square
tiles.
What materials do I need for Zentangle?
1) Paper, preferably artist quality acid free or slightly
textured
2) Pencil
3) Pen, thick and thin

Things to remember:
Make sure there are enough white spaces otherwise it would look to cramped up.
Finally go over the outline with a thicker marker.
